The comment that Rush made was not racist at all. It was a statement of fact. Like all good liberals and most sports writers are liberal, they want to see a minority do well EVEN if they know he is not qualified. That is not good for anyone. A person should succeed because he is good at what he does, not because he is black. As a black person, I am personally offended when someone looks at me as only a black person and not as a qualified professional.
The only reason liberals are angry about what Rush said is because it was true. White liberals are so worried about their own guilt that they they will lead a black person to his detriment with false encouragement just to assuage their guilt.
C’mon players, what exactly did Rush Limbaugh say, what phrase or phrases that offended you?

I think DeMaurice Smith is lying & is stirring up mess. He has ties to Obama & Holder. I find it odd that Demaurice, who was an unknown, gets hired as NFL Union CEO on March 2009. This was after he donated money to Obama & his employment w/ Holder. Smells fishy!
So if DeMaurice Smith thinks that Rush is unfit, then what does Demaurice think of Vicks? DeMaurice was the one who pushed for Vicks to get his NFL job back after he went to prison for cruelty & brutally murdering dogs.
Also, a former Black NLFer (who asks to not be identified) told me that he would rather work for Rush Limbaugh than to work for Pelosi’s UFL.
It’s not what Rush Limbaugh said, it is what the leftist media said he said. The media painted his comment as racist, usually without even stating what his comment was. At the time, Rush was RIGHT ON. As usual. The Eagles were a team that had been carried by their defense, not a team carried by McNabb. Just like Randal Cunningham before him. Not that either were bad quarterbacks; they just did not live up to the media hype. McNabb SINCE Limbaugh’s comment has had some good games. But the media never misses a chance to lie about anyone that is a conservative, and therefore their “enemy.” Did the Piston’s fire Isiah Thomas after his comments about Larry Bird? Umm…no. And rightly so. Media dishonesty is what is ripping this nation apart.
Given his comments and making this sport about race….should white fans stop paying big bucks to watch black players????

The Dems are slowly committing political suicide with their double-standards and hypocrisy. It’s not necessarily the Black players who are behind this, it’s the Players Union. Remember that word, UNION. It was reported on Friday that the Players Union is filing an objection with the league against Limbaugh’s ownership. The Unions have been against anything or anyone on the right. In the last election and continuing up to today the left’s major mantra is “Racist” and “Racism” against anyone who does not agree with them. This issue is merely a microscopic slice of a much larger picture where the left is trying to force this country toward socialism and the Unions are in full support. The players and union had better get a quick understanding of the demographics of who fills the seats and buys the tickets and team clothing.
Since when do the employees get to choose their boss? And since when did character have anything to do with professional sports? With their generally pampered existence in spite of steroids, illegal drugs, and a higher than normal proclivity for domestic violence, NFL players are fine ones to be talking about anybody else’s problems–real or imagined. Don’t want to work for Limbaugh? Fine. Quit.
Yeah right. Given a choice between playing for Rush or losing their lucrative paychecks, what do you think they’d choose?

i grew up watching the NFL. about 5 years ago i gave it up because i no longer wanted to support these overpaid, often criminal, pieces of crap.
i am proud to say i haven’t missed it at all. i’ll watch the occasional college game and i love to go to high school games but, the NFL can go the way of the dinosaurs for all i care. actually i am hoping for it now especially after seeing it revealed the blacks are very likely almost all racists due to there liberal reverse racism conditioning.
Stupid white Liberal interlopers need to get out of the race-baiting racketeering before they get b#tch-slapped. Rush is legally deaf – a disabled American. I’d like to see Rush sue the pants off these stupid white Liberals for discrimination.
None of them have obviously listened to Rush… Followers, just like most blacks, most union workers, most libs, “this is what everyone is saying, so it must be true”, this is who “they” say to vote for, etc.
