In my opinion this is what the small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” have brought you. They are good at “Follow the Leader” of their dullard leaders, they listen to Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. Are you surprise at what they do when you know what they think? The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. Although most republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe they have a long way to go. And as they said in WACO “We Ain’t Coming Out”.

Exactly. I complained a couple of times about the “urban” music soundtrack being blasted in the supermarket while I shopped, but never received a reply. Finally, just when I was about to switch stores, the soundtrack changed to a more friendly sound. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who didn’t want to be driven from the store by obnoxious “music.” It pays to speak up.

I don’t bother to listen to anything Hussein Obama says anymore. Like all liberals, everything he says is a lie. So why bother? I thought Bret Baier showed remarkable restraint. Like with ex-President Clinton, I would have felt like I needed a bath after being in the presence of B.O.

Marc Thiessen tried to educate Jon Stewart and his Useful Idiot audience, but you just can’t reason with jackasses like Stewart and his supporters. Marc Thiessen never got a chance to say much of anything, because Stewart just loves to hear himself talk in his moronic way. Too bad Stewart wasn’t in the Twin Towers when they fell, instead of the innocents that perished that day. We’d have one less jackass in the world.

The fact that MSNBC would air the interview with Bill Maher, as well as facilitate the direction of its discussion with tasteless lines of questioning, warrants an immediate public apology to those Americans that have served in the United States Navy.
Bill Maher’s homophobic speculation of what sailors do while at sea, come from a zero personal knowledge base, are completely false by nature, and only prove without doubt he is still just a want-to-be comedian that uses mindless ranting in an effort to be cute and funny. When in reality, he is neither cute nor funny. He has however managed to offend a group of dedicated patriots that give their lives daily in the defense of our freedoms.
The agenda in this segment was an obvious smear of Congressman Massa, bringing into question his years of service in the Navy. Even though I’m personally not a fan of D-Rep Massa; Maher’s on air act of cowardice by making wild insane accusations on the character of the entire navy was a gross error in judgment and I’m sure if questioned, he will slither to his corner of nowhere and retract his gross comments with a defense that “he’s just a comedian, and it was just a joke”. What he should remember in all this is that millions of television viewers are active or retired Navy, and I can almost guarantee none found his comments the least amusing.
Irresponsible people like Bill Maher who think that personal comments are more valuable than the institutions that protect them, or that their agenda to degrade a person who defects from their personal political perspective, at the cost of misrepresenting a diverse group of men and women, only serve to cause shame and represent thoughts that are no better than those on the other side of the isle. Bill Maher has lost a viewer and I hope many others read this and follow my actions.

I also LOVE that the government is dropping the hammer on these criminal companies. Too bad we can’t go far as to lopping off the heads of CEO’s because they deserve it for running wild the past 30 years since Reagan began destroying the country. I think what that teacher did, and continues to do, to that young girl is a disgrace. The teacher is harassing the student verbally (providing written proof), and physically (due to throwing her pencil box into the hallway), and he should be fired for his actions. His behavior is completely unacceptable. Teaching in our public schools should not be geared toward making students lose their self esteem. I hope the student and her mother sue this teacher. They have all the proof they need to win any lawsuit for harassment. The teacher has so generously provided it. They should see if the school has any video of the teacher throwing the young girl’s pencil box, too.

And by the way, in my state there are no unions either, they are illigal. If they were legal, maybe teachers wouldn’t be given the loads that they have in one of the worst paid states for teachers in the US.

It does make total sense, but again, in a situation like mine, even that isn’t fair. I teach 6 classes a day and each one is different. I get one planning period. For a teacher to do a good job at preparing for a class they need at least 20-30 minutes to prepare. With 6 different ones to prepare for every day, that is 2-3 hours of just prep time. We haven’t started talking yet about having to grade papers, run copies, do dutie, etc. And no, I didn’t choose this. It was forced upon me to be able to keep my job. how will you grade me on my perormance? If I had a child in my class, I would want them out because and overworked teacher like this is not capable of doing a good job. Nor are the teachers who have 30 -35 kids in a class 6 periods a day. can you imagine how much time it takes to grade 180 papers??? A whole lot more than what they give you in a school day, I’ll tell you that. How about dropping class sizes to a place where they are manageable, and the teachers can give each child the attention they need and desreve, THEN we can look at how they really teach and grade them.

I think this is just another example of why we need hope and change in regards to our public school teachers.

Are you not in favor of making sure our children receive the best schooling we can provide?

The easiest way to do this is grading teachers on their ability to teach. Tenures are removed in favor of yearly diagnostics on the teacher.

Doesn’t that make sense?

What this teacher did, is doing, is wrong!! However quite jumping down the throat of all public school teachers. WE are NOT all like that. Most of us really care aboutt he stusdents entrusted in our care and you have no idea the injustices that teachers have to facae or how the disctricts and government “ties our hands” and keeps us from being able to do our job the way we would like to. Until you have sat in a classroom with a teacher for a week, do NOT attack all teachers an put them under the same umbrella! That isn’t fair!!!
